Day two started off with sleeping in :) It was SO nice! When I say sleeping in, I mean 8 a.m. Ha! That's late for us! We went down and had continental breakfast in the hotel lobby. Does anyone dislike eating breakfast at the hotel as much as I do?? Brandon and the kids LOVE it but I get claustrophobic and social anxiety, etc. I can't take it very long. Daddy usually takes them down for breakfast and I usually get ready and go down a little after them. That way I'm not there very long :)
After we had breakfast, we came back and did our devotionals. Today's devotional was about bad habits. We all named one bad habit that we had and each of us took a person to be praying for this week. Then Cade volunteered to say the "ending prayer". It was absolutely precious!! It went something like: "God, please help Daddy to not get angry, Mommy to not be scared, Naney to not tell lies, Me to listen better and Sadie....Uh, uh, what am I supposed to say? Oh yeah, Sadie to have patience! We love you, Amen!! Sweet, right?! Later on in the day, Sadie divided her prayer list in to 4 different lists. She has a prayer for those who are angry (Laney and Daddy)-so funny that she changed Laney from a lying habit, to an angry habit..hmm...haha. She has a scaredy cat list- Mommy, a not listening list- Cade and she is on the patience list. HILARIOUS! She seriously cracks me up!! I joked that she is just like Aunt Holly...always making lists!!!! After devotionals, we changed to our swimsuits to go swimming!
Poor Bubba! He cut his foot on the ladder :( Laney did the same thing later on.. |
It bled forever! |
He didn't want to go in the pool after that :( |
Cade spent the rest of the time in the sauna with Daddy. |

We swam a few hours and came back to the room and ate a piece of leftover pizza before we get ready to head out and do some other things.

After chilling at the hotel for a while, we headed out to find something to eat for lunch. Daddy decided to take a road through Hollister and we ended up way out in the middle of nowhere :) We were looking for a unique, non-chain restaurant to eat at. Poor kids were SO bored!! And HUNGRY!!
Cade LOVED this "monster" |
So tired! |
So bored! |
Daddy, I'm just HUNGRY!! |
After circling Branson and making a trip through Hollister, we ended up at Fuddruckers! We used to have one in Fayetteville but they went out of business. We hadn't been there since the day Laney was born! I don't know if it was because we were starving, or if it was just really good but YUMMY, it was delicious!
This boy LOOOVES his sweet tea!! |
Daddy went to get refills and surprised us with cookies! Yay!!
It is so crazy because yesterday, it was like 80 degrees outside. We all had on shorts and dresses and flip flops! SO nice. It started raining overnight and today it is COLD and rainy! :( Bitter cold- shock!!
It wouldn't be a Branson trip, without a trip to Old Navy! They had dresses on sale for $10 so we took a bunch in the dressing room to try on. These are the ones we ended up getting..
The kids had to play with the mannequins, of course! Then, Laney decided she would be a mannequin. Sadie tried to do it with her but she can't stand still that long! Ha! Those of you who know Sadie, know what I'm talking about. My mom didn't name her Tigger for nothin'! :)
We made a quick water stop at Sonic and to Wal-Mart to get groceries for dinner and our fishing trip tomorrow and went back to the hotel to relax!
The kids finally got bored with relaxing and I bet you'll never guess where we went next?! Yep, the pool!! The girls are little fishies! Cade, not so much. He was ready to go, pretty quickly. So, after I swam for a little and played "mermaid barbies" with Sadie, Cade and I came back to the room. He wanted a hot bath :) While he bathed, I made sandwiches and got lunchables ready for the kids to eat. Daddy and the girls finally came back and we laid in bed watching Jessie and ate a late dinner. Cade took a few bites and said that Dr. Bright said for him not to eat. Haha Dr. Bright is his foot doctor, but he blames everything on "What Dr. Bright says". Then we told him that he needed to eat a few more bites and he said, "NO, Dr. Bright said that my need to go to bed!!" Silly boy :)
No problems getting them to bed tonight! They're worn out!
