Toby Mac! {Hits Deep Tour}

I'm trying SUPER hard to get caught up on my blog for the last month or so. Sigh. It's gonna take a while but I'm getting there. Baby steps :)

Back in September, we bought tickets to go see Toby Mac in Tulsa. We were SO excited! December 12th seemed like it would NEVER get here! But the day finally came and we could hardly stand the excitement!

We checked the girls out early to head up there. It's about a 2 hour drive to Tulsa from our house and we wanted to look around and take our time.

First, we headed to the mall and enjoyed a sweet snack.

We had pretty much all of our Christmas shopping finished at this point. The only things we had left were the gifts from the kids to each other. We had planned on taking each one of them, individually, out one night for shopping and some one-on-one time but while we were at the mall, we found the DISNEY store and they had so many great deals and the kids wanted EVERYTHING, that we took each one aside and let them shop for each other, there. It was a lot of fun. Cade bought Laney a little Tinkerbell plush doll that she wanted and he got Sadie a Little Mermaid Barbie doll. Laney bought Cade a Woody (from Toy Story) doll (that talks) and she bought Sadie a Prince Charming Barbie doll. Sadie got Cade a Buzz Lightyear toy (that talks) and she got Laney an Anna (from Frozen) Barbie doll. They had so much fun and we were all pleased with their choices!

Then we headed to the merry-go-round! You're never too old for that! A parent had to stand with Cade, so I elected Brandon for that job. :) I don't do well with spinning in circles. My world spins enough as it is, while I'm standing still! Ha!

Of course, we couldn't go to Tulsa without eating at our most favorite restaurant... Cheddar's! Yummy! It's not always easy to find a place to eat that everyone is excited about. But Cheddar's is one of those places that we all love! Since I've been eating healthier, it wasn't as much fun (I couldn't get my usual choice- alfredo) but it was still good, nonetheless!

Toby Mac time!! Nana, Pepaw, Holly and Alli met up with us at the BOK Center. We had great seats! Close but not too close! It was SO loud! The kids were cracking me up because they said they could feel the music beating in their hearts :) This was Cade and Sadie's first concert. Laney has been to a few before the other two were born and she went with me to see Toby Mac, last year. I have to say, he puts on the best concerts! We just love him!

His Hits Deep Tour included; Mandisa, Chris August (LOVE him!), Jamie Grace, Colton Dixon, Capital Kings, and Brandon Heath! Such great artists!! We loved every performance!!

Cigarette lighters are a thing of the past...Now people use their cell phone flashlights! HA!

This boy fell asleep about halfway through Toby Mac's performance!
The noise did not bother him!

These sweet girls had so much fun!

 The end of the concert was the BEST! They sang a Christmas carol and all of this fake snow started flying every where! It was really neat! Best.concert.ever!

After the concert, everyone left, Brandon and Cade went to the vehicle, but the girls and I stood in line to meet a few artists! Toby Mac's band- Diverse City- is awesome! When they say they'll pray with you after the show, they mean it! I captured this moment in the hallway. So precious!

Then the girls got to meet Chris August! He is so fun! I splurged and bought a few of his cd's. If you've never heard of him, check him out! The girls wouldn't talk to him, of course, but he took his time with us and talked and signed cd's for us. We loved him!

Then the girls were very excited to meet Jamie Grace! She was funny! She was trying to guess which girl was older and asked their names. Sadie whispered to her but that was about all she could get out of them. My super shy girls! We weren't allowed to take any "posed" pictures with her so this is the best I could get..

We tried to meet Brandon Heath and Mandisa but by the time we stood in line for the other two that we got to meet, they were gone :( Toby Mac, of course, wasn't doing a meet and greet. Boo!! We had so much fun! So glad we were able to go! Blessed, for sure!!
